We’re Giving Away a Samsung Tablet!

We had a pretty crazy thing happen recently. Samsung heard about this around-the-world trip our family is doing and the company sent us a box of products to help us with documenting our journey and homeschooling the kids. We were shocked to receive international cell phones, wireless cameras and tablet devices. While we’re extremely grateful for this incredible donation, we know we don’t need all of this so we’ll be giving some of these items away to deserving people. We thought a fun way to find a good home for one of the tablets would be to give it away to someone following this journey with us. We’ve decided to do a Facebook contest this month and get people talking about their own service projects.

This is how it works. We want to hear about the volunteer work that you’ve done or are doing in your community. It doesn’t have to be something recent. If you’ve volunteered in the past or have a service project coming up soon, you can share the experience on our Facebook page and be entered to win a new Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro. This is  just a fun way to get people sharing the things they’re doing to change the world. Please consider adding your volunteer experience. Who knows…maybe you’ll get a new tablet out of it.

There are just a few easy steps:

  1. Go to our 100 Ways to Change the World Facebook page.
  2. Scroll down to find a post entitled “We’re Giving Away a Samsung Tablet” showing a photo of the tablet
  3. Add your own comment to the post including a description  of your service project (nicely worded and truthful please). Attach a photo in your comment too if you have one you’re willing to share.

Everyone commenting  on the contest post will be entered to win the tablet. We’ll pick the winner at random and contact that lucky person to get their mailing address. We’ll send this tablet anywhere in the world! The contest begins June 1 and ends June 24. Please help us spread the word. It would be really cool to see a big list of comments about people volunteering around the world. Good luck!

Tracey Carisch

Mom, wife, friend and change agent traveling the world with my family to learn our place in it. After spending a career in organizational change management and community initiative implementation, I put my career on hold for our family's trip around the world. In April of 2014 we sold almost everything we own, put the rest in a storage container, and departed on this journey. While my husband continued his software development work to financially support our trip, I planned and documented our adventure, homeschooled our three daughters, and found volunteer work opportunities for us to do in the communities we visit. Now that we've returned to the U.S., I'm completing book about our family's adventure and our lessons learned.
