While our family still has another few weeks to enjoy Prague, we’re also preparing for our upcoming time in the U.K. and Ireland. This is a plea for any insight or connections those of you reading this may have in these countries. When we leave Prague on September 11, we will spend 10 days driving through Germany, Belgium and the U.K to get to the village of Castletownshend, Ireland, located on the southwest coast of the country. We’ll be staying there through the end of October. Our tentative route is shown below, but we can certainly modify it if we receive suggestions for other towns we should include in this road trip.
We’re excited about this next leg of our journey and would love your input. If you live, visit or have family anywhere near our route or in Ireland, please let us know of fun things to do, places we should see or organizations accepting volunteers. We’re hoping our service projects can ramp up when the language barrier is removed. We would love to find a couple volunteer activities we could do in the U.K. during our road trip as well.
Email us or comment if you can help us make it happen.
